The Perfect Drug (Nine Inch Nails)
R— went off to college a year before me and we broke up. It was heartbreaking. I was alone again, and sometimes angry about it.
She did give me some great life advice regarding West Point. “You know those JROTC people you complain about all the time? You’ll be around people like that 24 hours a day.”
I still tried to go to West Point, but my heart was never really in it after that. I slacked on giving them the X-rays for my twice-broken arm.
Missed it by that much.
