The Perfect Drug (Plug)

I really wanted to go to a military academy. Really, I wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. West Point was also an option. I worked really hard through high school to keep my grades up enough and had joined a number of activities. Partially because I was bored. There isn’t much to do in El Paso.

In our high school we had seven standard periods. My our senior year I think we could get an off period. My senior year I had eight periods because you could take a “0 period” before regular classes began and then I would often stay after working on some extracurricular. Then I also had Boy Scouts, Explorer Scouts, and frequent weekend hikes.

I didn’t have any money, nor did I own a car, either. So, I was pretty much living in a prison.
