This might be NIN’s most dystopian song. It’s odd listening to this with the hindsight of Year Zero and having just heard Head Like a Hole. It’s an interesting critique of our world.
Of course, I guess you have to be totally divorced from the world to come away with this type of perspective.
I’ve always liked the guitar-solo around 3:10.
