Sure, NIN had a bunch of singles with Pretty Hate Machine, but Fixed was the first “concept remix album”. In many ways Fixed was more my speed: electronic, distorted beyond listenable, and wildly experimental.
Broken was digestible by just about anyone that liked rock. Fixed required a love for electronic production.
